Directors of Corporate Sponsorship

Earnings

Directors of corporate sponsorships earned average salaries of $94,266 in 2024, according to ZipFRecruiter.com. Salaries ranged from $79,000 to $118,000 or more.

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) does not have specific data for directors of corporate sponsorship or sponsorship managers. However, some of their work is similar to that which is done by advertising and promotions managers, as well as by fundraising managers.

The DOL reports that advertising and promotions managers earned annual median salaries of $131,870 in May 2023, with earnings ranging from $63,580 to $188,530. Fundraising managers earned median salaries of $119,200. Ten percent earned less than $68,800, and 10 percent earned $212,730 or more. Fifty percent of fundraising managers earned between $86,880 and $162,660.

Salaries for corporate sponsorship positions are higher at large corporations, and more consistent with the income levels of corporate executives. The salaries of those in the nonprofit sector are lower, reflecting the smaller annual budgets of nonprofit organizations and the greater need for public accountability of charitable funds. In both the public and private sector, salary and income are commensurate with an individual’s experience.

Most directors receive benefits such as health insurance, sick leave, paid holidays, retirement plans, and savings plans.
