Environmental Education Program Directors

Outlook

The Department of Labor does not report specifically about environmental education prospects, but it does show that employment for instructional coordinators is expected to grow slower than the average for all occupations through 2033. Despite this outlook, continued interest in environmental issues coupled with new and changing environmental laws and regulations is causing some schools and organizations to create and expand their environmental education programs. Environmental education program directors will be needed to help create and enhance programs to educate youth and adults in various communities.
