Model View Controller Developers

History

The model view controller methodology was introduced by a Norwegian computer scientist named Trygve Reenskaug in 1979 for use in graphical user interface software design. The popularity of MVC architecture—which saves designers time and makes complex software developments more manageable—has waxed and waned over the past few decades. It’s currently a popular design component for Web applications and user interfaces in major programming languages such as Java, PHP, Smalltalk, C, and C++ and frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Django, ASP.NET MVC, and Express. “The MVC framework reduces complexity for developers modeling an information system, especially when designing large applications; the code is much more structured and therefore easier to maintain, test and reuse,” according to an article about the methodology at the Web site of Accion Labs, a cloud engineering company.
