Salaries for anesthesiologist assistants vary based on the kind of practice (whether the anesthesiologist works individually or as part of a group practice) and geographic location. The U.S. Department of Labor reports that the median annual earnings for physician assistants, which includes anesthesiology assistants, was $130,020 in May 2023. The lowest 10 percent earned $86,280 or less, and the highest 10 percent earned $170,790 or more. Those who worked in general medical and surgical hospitals earned an annual mean wage of $132,580, whereas those who worked in outpatient care centers earned $144,160.
