Enterprise Architects

Work Environment

Enterprise architects work in typical office settings. They may need to work overtime (including at night and weekends) to meet project deadlines or address problems with a new enterprise architecture rollout. This job can be stressful when architects experience strong resistance to their plans and if they miss deadlines or fail to meet established performance metrics. Despite the occasional workplace challenges, the majority of enterprise architects enjoy their careers. In fact, 80 percent of enterprise architects who were surveyed by PayScale.com in 2021 reported being “highly satisfied” with their occupational choice.
