Neonatal Nurses

Unions and Associations

Some nurses are represented by National Nurses United; the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees; and other national and local unions.

Neonatal nurses have access to education, conferences, publications, networking opportunities, and career development resources offered by professional associations. They may be members of such groups as the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses; Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses; and the National Association of Neonatal Nurses. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing also offers advocacy, training and certification information, and other helpful resources. It represents more than 875 member schools of nursing at public and private universities.
