Work Environment
Product owners typically work a standard 40-hour-week, Monday through Friday, although they may have to also meet with team members and customers at night and on weekends.
Product owners serve as the liaison between the customer and the Scrum team. As a result, they are in frequent communication with both groups, and may regularly travel to the customer’s headquarters for meetings. This career can be stressful if the Scrum team feels overworked or if it believes that its concerns are not being addressed. It can also be challenging if the customer is unhappy with the pace or quality of the project. On the other hand, it can be rewarding to develop productive relationships with team members and customers and play a role in helping to create a quality product.
