Physical Therapists

A small number of physical therapists are presented by the Service Employees International Union.

The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) provides advocacy, conferences, and networking, and publishes APTA Magazine and PTJ: Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Journal. Members receive access to the APTA Guide to Physical Therapist Practice 4.0. The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education is an accrediting agency that grants specialized accreditation status to doctoral-level education programs for physical therapists. The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties certifies physical therapists who demonstrate specialized knowledge and advanced clinical proficiency in a specialty area of physical therapy practice and who pass a certifying examination.
