Radiologists

Radiologists advance by getting board certified. They hone their knowledge and skills throughout their years of practice, building a reputation for their expertise and excellence in their field. Those that work in a radiology department of a hospital or large clinic may advance to become senior radiologists or department heads, hiring and supervising the work of health care teams. Some may get a doctoral degree in a subspecialty and teach in colleges and universities. Radiologists also advance by writing for medical journals and teaching workshops and speaking at conferences hosted by professional associations.
