Outlook

The U.S. Department of Labor predicts little or no change in employment for all writers and authors through 2028. Online publications and services will continue to grow, however, and there should be ongoing need for writers with Web and multimedia experience. Bear in mind that it will be challenging to establish a full-time career as a blogger since many people want to become bloggers. There are hundreds of millions of blogs on the Internet, and only a few bloggers have a large enough following that allows them to earn a living in this field. Most bloggers work part time, while working as journalists, technical writers, editors, teachers, or in nonwriting positions in various industries.
