Flexibility is one of the greatest advantages of being a blogger. Writing can be done at any time, day or night, and at the individual's pace. Some bloggers choose to write many posts, and schedule them for publishing one by one. This way they only spend a certain number of hours or days a week devoted to writing, but can still maintain a regular number of posts. However, bloggers who follow current events spend a great deal of time each day keeping up to date on news and events pertaining to their niche or audience. Many times current event bloggers write new or follow-up posts on a daily basis.

At times, bloggers receive negative comments from readers. A calm, but firm, attitude is important in dealing with less desirable comments as well as steering the commentary back on topic and to a positive tone.

Most bloggers work from the comfort of their homes, though writing can be done from any location. Bloggers who work for large businesses maintain an office or cubicle at company headquarters.
