Naturopaths

A 2020 survey conducted by the Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges (AANMC) found that, in the United States, the average salary for naturopaths was $95,642. Those working full-time earned $80,000 to $150,000.

Naturopaths earned average salaries of $70,751 in 2024, according to PayScale.com. Earnings ranged from $39,000 to $149,000.

Income also depends on such factors as the size and geographic location of a practice. In states that license N.D.s, the population is typically more interested in natural health. In those states, naturopaths may have larger practices than in states that do not license, and thus they have higher incomes.

Since most naturopathic physicians are in private practice, they must provide their own benefits. Those who are employed by universities, research institutes, or clinics run by others may receive benefits, such as vacation and sick pay, insurance, and contributions to retirement accounts. According to an AANMC survey, the majority of naturopathic physicians are satisfied with their incomes.
