Unions and Associations

Some engineers are represented by the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (http://www.ifpte.org), the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (https://www.speea.org), and other unions. In addition, many organizations provide useful resources and professional support to engineers, including the Aerospace Industries Association, Air & Space Forces Association, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, American Society for Engineering Education, General Aviation Manufacturers Association, National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Society of Women Engineers. ABET accredits engineering education programs. Students for the Exploration and Development of Space is an international organization of high school and college students dedicated to promoting interest in space. The Aerospace Industries Association of Canada provides resources to engineers who work in Canada.
