Hospitalists

The U.S. Department of Labor does not provide an employment outlook for hospitalists. It does report that job opportunities for physicians and surgeons who work in hospitals will increase by 4 percent (about as fast as the average for all occupations) from 2023 through 2033. Employment prospects will be especially good for those who are willing to practice in rural and low-income areas because it is often be difficult for these areas to attract physicians.
