Network Operations Center Engineers

Unions and Associations

NOC engineers do not belong to unions, but they can become members of professional associations. For example, the Network and Systems Professionals Association offers membership categories for students and professionals. Members receive access to job listings, resume writing and review services, and Technical Support magazine. The Network Professional Association offers membership for high school students, college students, and professionals; continuing education classes and webinars; certification; and publications such as Network Professional Journal. The IEEE Computer Society, Association for Computing Machinery, and CompTIA are other good resources for aspiring and current engineers.
