Cancer exercise specialists often begin their careers as general fitness trainers, physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, or exercise physiologists before receiving specialized training and therapy in cancer exercise modalities. They may offer cancer exercise services as part of their general practice or transition to working solely with cancer patients.
