Self-employed chiropractors usually earn more than salaried chiropractors, such as those working as an associate with another chiropractor or doctor. Chiropractors running their own office, however, must pay such expenses as equipment costs, staff salaries, and health insurance. Chiropractors who are salaried employees, such as those working on the staff of another doctor or those working for health clinics, usually receive benefits including health insurance, sick days, paid vacation days, and retirement plans.
