Build Reliability Engineers

New college graduates who enter their first engineering positions are sometimes known as junior engineers. Once they obtain experience, they can be promoted to the position of project engineer, who supervises others and oversees the various tasks that are required to meet project goals and deadlines. The next step is managing engineer, who oversees several project engineers and reports to the chief engineer, who has the managerial responsibility for all engineering-related projects at their company and who interacts regularly with top executives. Some build reliability engineers advance by leaving their small or medium-sized employer and moving on to higher-paying and more prestigious companies. Others become professors or open their own consulting firms.
