Build Reliability Engineers

Unions and Associations

Some build reliability engineers are represented by the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace; International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers; International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers; United Automobile, Aerospace, and Agricultural Implement Workers of America; American Federation of Government Employees, and other unions.

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics is one of the leading professional organizations for aerospace engineers (including build reliability engineers). It offers membership categories for high school and college students and current aerospace professionals, provides continuing education opportunities, and offers publications such as:

  • Journal of Aerospace Information Systems
  • Journal of Propulsion and Power
  • Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets
  • Journal of Thermophysics and Heat Transfer

The Aerospace Industries Association of Canada represents the professional interests of aerospace professionals in Canada.

Other organizations that provide useful resources and professional support to engineers include the Aerospace Industries Association, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Air and Space Forces Association, Commercial Space Federation, General Aviation Manufacturers Association, IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society, National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Society of Women Engineers.
