They also work for ETL software development firms, and some developers launch their own design firms.

Job leads can be obtained through one’s college career service office (CSO); by attending career fairs and networking events that are sponsored by tech companies, IT associations, and CSOs; by creating a profile on LinkedIn to attract the interest of recruiters; by utilizing IT job sites such as Dice.com; and by visiting the career sites of target employers to apply for jobs. Some people land their first jobs as a result of contacts that they made during internships and other experiential learning opportunities.
