Mobile Software Developers

Unions and Associations

Mobile software developers do not belong to unions, but several associations provide useful resources. The Association for Computing Machinery publishes XRDS (a magazine for students) and ACM Transactions on Multimedia Computing, Communications, and Applications; hosts more than 170 conferences and other events worldwide; provides information on education and careers at its Web site; and has Special Interest Groups on Programming Languages and Hypertext, Hypermedia and Web, among others. The IEEE Computer Society offers certification to software developers; publishes IEEE Software; and provides continuing education classes and other resources. The International Web Association offers software-related continuing education classes and provides job listings at its Web site.
