Robotics Integrators

Depending on the industry and the technology used in production, manufacturing plants range from extremely clean, quiet, and well-organized to noisy, dirty, and cramped. Robotics integrators work in these settings to assess and oversee the integration of robotics technology into factory systems. They also work in offices, where they create and assess robotics technology integration models, conduct research, meet with staff, prepare reports, and interact with clients and vendors on the phone, e-mail, and video conferencing technology. Robotics integrators who visit or work in clean room environments wear facemasks, hair coverings, and special protective clothing.

Robotics integrators work in other settings such as large-scale farms, transportation facilities, and any other place where robotics technology is being introduced to save time, increase efficiency, and meet other goals.

For some positions, robotics integrators travel more than 50 percent of their workweek to manufacturing plants, offices of clients, and other work sites. Some people enjoy the steady travel, while others prefer positions that require less travel.
