Salaries ranged from $46,906 to $80,000 or more. The U.S. Department of Labor reports that in May 2024, health care support workers, all other, earned a median salary of $46,050. Salaries ranged from $32,450 or less to $68,180 or more. Those that worked in the offices of health practitioners averaged $51,590 per year.

Geographic location and type of facility are important salary variables. SLPAs employed in large metropolitan areas usually earn higher salaries than those working in small cities and rural areas.
