Workplace Diversity Experts

Work Environment

Workplace diversity experts work in corporate offices and from home offices. Much of their work day is spent reviewing and assessing companies' hiring, training, and management policies and practices. They also spend time communicating with and meeting with human resources staff and managers and employees from other departments. Workplace diversity experts normally work 40 hours per week, although long hours may be required for meetings, educational programs, and work-related events and conferences. Some travel may also be required, particularly for large corporations with offices throughout the U.S. and in other countries. The job can be stressful at times, especially when dealing with managers or employees with difficult personalities.
