Data Scientists

Outlook

Employment of computer and information research scientists (a category that includes data scientists) is expected to grow by 36 percent through 2033, according to the Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH), or much faster than the average for all careers. Approximately 73,100 new jobs will be added to the data scientists' field by 2033. The U.S. Department of Labor reports that rapid growth will stem from the growing need for data-driven decisions. The projected increase in available data in the coming years will have companies employing more data scientists to collect and analyze the information. "Data scientists' analysis will help organizations to make informed decisions and improve their business processes, to design and develop new products, and to better market their products.”
