Medical Robotics Technicians

Advancement Prospects

With experience, a skilled medical robotics technician can be promoted to the position of senior technician. These professionals supervise small groups of technicians and work closely with the head of the repair department. Technicians who earn a bachelor’s degree in robotics engineering, robotics, or a related academic field are qualified to work as medical robotics engineers. They can also become consultants or chief robotics officers, who oversee all robotics-related operations at their employer and focus on the interactions between robots and their human coworkers. Other technicians teach students about robotics technology in high schools, community and technical college, and four-year universities.
