Unions and Associations
Autonomous vehicle safety and test drivers are not members of unions, but a variety of professional associations provide useful resources. One example is the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, which has a Technical Committee on Autonomous Ground Vehicles and Intelligent Transportation Systems. SAE International is a membership organization for engineers and other technical professionals in aerospace, commercial vehicle, and automotive engineering. It offers continuing education opportunities and publishes Autonomous Vehicle Engineering and the SAE International Journal of Connected and Automated Vehicles. The Connected Vehicle Trade Association offers a connected vehicle professional credentialing program.
