Directors of telehealth work in typical office settings, although some work remotely some or all of the time. They can expect a typical 9-to-5, Monday-Friday schedule, although they may work at night and on weekends when launching new telehealth system or adding additional services. This is a good career for people who are tech savvy (or who are willing to learn) and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that involves regular interaction with IT, billing, compliance, and medical professionals.
