Salaries for industrial engineering technicians vary according to the product being manufactured, geographic location, and the education and skills of the technician. The U.S. Department of Labor reports that in May 2018, industrial engineering technicians earned salaries that ranged from less than $34,920 to more than $88,340, with a median salary of $55,460. Industrial engineering technicians who worked in the aerospace product and parts manufacturing industry earned a mean salary of $75,790, while those employed in the semiconductor and electronic component manufacturing industry received $63,670. In addition to salary, most employers offer paid vacation time, holidays, insurance and retirement plans, and tuition assistance for work-related courses.
