Clinical Pharmacist Practitioners

Outlook

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) predicts that employment for pharmacists will decline from 2020 to 2030. However, it says that “demand is projected to increase for pharmacists in some healthcare settings, including hospitals and clinics. These facilities will need more pharmacists to oversee the medications given to patients and to provide patient care.” The DOL reports that there will be strong employment growth for pharmacists in the following health care–related fields. The average expected grow rate for all careers is 8 percent.
