Unions and Associations
Dietitians are not typically represented by unions. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is the major organization for professionals in the field. It provides information on education, careers, and certification (via its Commission on Dietetic Registration). Other organizations for dietitians include the American Society for Nutrition and the International and American Associations of Clinical Nutritionists. Dietitians in Canada often become members of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management.
