Information Assurance Analysts

Information assurance analysts do not belong to unions, but several associations provide useful resources. The Association for Computing Machinery publishes XRDS (a magazine for students), ACM Transactions on Database Systems, and ACM Transactions on Privacy and Security; and provides information on education and careers at its Web site. It also hosts more than 170 conferences and other events worldwide and has Special Interest Groups on Security, Audit, and Control; Management of Data; and Management Information Systems. The IEEE Computer Society publishes IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing and offers continuing education classes. Other noteworthy organizations include CompTIA, EC-Council; Global Association of Risk Professionals, Information Systems Security Association, ISACA, (ISC)², RIMS—The Risk Management Society, RMA-The Risk Management Association, SANS Institute, and the Storage Networking Industry Association.
