Unions and Associations

JavaScript developers do not typically belong to unions, but they can become members of professional associations such as the Association for Computing Machinery (which has a Special Interest Group on Programming Languages), International Web Association, and the IEEE Computer Society. These organizations provide continuing education classes and webinars, publications, networking opportunities, certification programs, annual conferences, and other resources. There are also professional associations at the state and local levels.
