Certification, Licensing, and Special Requirements

Certification or Licensing

AI auditors do not need to be licensed, but many receive certification from professional associations. Becoming certified tells potential employers that you have the highest standard of your industry. Auditors who are certified typically earn higher salaries and have better advancement opportunities than those who are not certified. One popular credential is ISACA’s Advanced in AI Audit certification. To earn the credential, applicants must have earned the organization’s Certified Information Systems Auditor certification and pass an examination that covers the following areas: AI governance and risk illustration, AI operations, and AI auditing tools and techniques.
