Geriatric Social Workers

Some social workers are members of a union or covered by a union contract. The National Association of Social Workers is the major membership organization for social workers; it provides publications, certification, continuing education, and other resources. The Association of Social Work Boards is the nonprofit association of social work licensing boards in the United States and Canada. The Council on Social Work Education provides education and other resources for social workers. Other organizations of interest to geriatric social workers include the American Geriatrics Society, American Society on Aging, Academy for Gerontology in Higher Education, and USAging.
