Manufacturing engineers employed in the United States earned a median annual salary of $85,613 in January 2025, according to ZipRecruiter.com. Salaries ranged from $47,500 to $120,000 or more.

Manufacturing engineering and technology workers earned average salaries of $150,729, according to the 2023 IndustryWeek Salary Survey.

Advanced manufacturing engineers earned salaries that ranged from $68,000 to $120,000 or more in 2024, according to PayScale.com. They received an average salary of $83,293

Manufacturing engineers usually receive benefits such as vacation days, sick leave, health and life insurance, and a savings and pension program. Self-employed engineers must provide their own benefits.
