App Services Workers

Working as an app services professional can be both rewarding and challenging—all in the same day. It can be enjoyable to set your own hours and work outside of an office setting, but ASWs must deal with sometimes disrespectful customers, long hours or occasional stretches where there is no work, and low pay (in many specialties). Many app services employers have developed reputations for undercompensating workers, establishing unrealistic performance metrics for workers, and creating other rules or guidelines that make it hard for contractors to make a good living. Many ASWs are fighting to increase their pay and work conditions, but social media feeds are full of contractor complaints about these issues. Despite these and other challenges, some app services workers enjoy their careers and appreciate the flexibility their jobs provide as they pursue advanced education or other goals.
