Robert Half Legal, a national staffing firm, reports that first-year lawyers earned salaries that ranged from $77,000 to $122,750 in 2024, depending on the size of their firm. Corporate lawyers with two to three years of experience earned salaries that ranged from $93,250 to $144,500; with four to nine years of experience, $104,500 to $165,500; and with 10 or more years of experience, $137,750 to $193,250. General counsels earn salaries that range from $58,500 to $267,000, according to ZipRecruiter. Top corporate lawyers can earn $1 million or more annually.
