Salaries for manufacturing workers vary depending on their job title and level of experience. In May 2023, industrial production managers had median annual incomes of $116,970, with the lowest paid 10 percent earning $72,010 and the highest paid 10 percent earning $190,480 or more. Industrial designers earned salaries that ranged from $46,530 to $126,010 or more. Quality inspectors had median annual incomes of $45,850. Salaries for assemblers and fabricators varied according to the industry in which they worked; for example, aircraft assemblers had median incomes of $61,240 per year, and engine and other machine assemblers averaged $50,270 per year. Sales representatives for wholesale and manufacturing companies (not including technical and scientific products) had median annual salaries of $65,630, while the lowest paid 10 percent earned less than $37,240 and the top paid 10 percent earned $133,010 or more.
