To earn the certification, applicants who have completed 5.25 credit hours of continuing education specific to telehealth within the last 12 months and passed a live, remotely proctored certification exam. The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society offers the certified professional in digital health transformation strategy credential to applicants who meet educational and experience requirements and pass an examination. It offers other credentials, including certified associate in healthcare information and management systems; certified professional in healthcare information and management systems; and certified healthcare technology manager.
