Some electrical engineers may be members of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers and other unions. Many engineers are members of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, which offers career enhancement webinars, career articles, and other employment resources; provides continuing education opportunities; publishes industry journals and online resources for teens; and offers membership to engineering professionals and college students. ABET accredits engineering education programs. Other organizations that provide useful resources include the American Society for Engineering Education, National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Society of Women Engineers.
