Ethical sourcing officers generally work full-time hours in offices. They often work more than 40 hours per week, particularly when project deadlines need to be met. The job also requires travel to meet with suppliers. They sometimes will work outdoors, inspecting goods in warehouses and other locations. Ethical sourcing officers may also work evenings and weekends when needed. The job is sometimes stressful, especially when identifying issues and problems with suppliers or with the products and goods being sourced. Ethical sourcing officers are able to stay focused on their goals to meet deadlines.
