Certification or Licensing

There are no specialized certification credentials for DWEEs, but engineers can obtain certification in network administration, programming, software development, Internet security, and related areas. Certification is offered by technology vendors and professional associations such as Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals and CompTIA. Engineers who manage entire IT workplace improvement projects might find it useful to earn certification credentials from the Project Management Institute, Global Association for Quality Management, American Management Association, and American Academy of Project Management. No licensing is required for digital workplace experience engineers.
