Digital Workplace Experience Engineers

Work Environment

Digital workplace experience engineers work a standard 40-hour week, Monday-Friday, although they occasionally have to work at night and on weekends. This is a great career for those who like technology and enjoy solving problems to help others. On the other hand, this job can be stressful at times because engineers regularly interact with people who are frustrated due to slow Internet connections, badly designed user interfaces, and other technical issues. As a result, engineers need a patient and calm personality in order to interact effectively with colleagues.

At a large employer, an engineer may need to travel to multiple offices or other facilities to meet with employees, evaluate technology, and oversee system upgrades. Others work at one location and have minimal travel requirements.
