Product Development Directors

The outlook for product development directors is bright. Market research technologies and methodologies continue to be improved, making it easier for companies to better understand how their current products are performing and where there are gaps in the marketplace. Product development directors will continue to be in demand to help companies improve on their existing products and develop new products that meet customers' needs. The Department of Labor predicts faster than average employment growth for advertising, promotions, and marketing managers through 2028. Product development directors who hold a master's degree and have five or more years of experience in product development will have the best chances of finding work.
