Product Management Directors

Product management directors will have good job opportunities in the coming years. The Department of Labor predicts that management occupations overall will have 7 percent employment growth through 2028, which is faster than the average for all occupations. Advertising, marketing, and promotion managers, whose work has some overlap with that of product management directors, will have faster than average employment growth. Companies will continue to need product management directors to ensure their products are managed according to budgets and timelines, as well as in accordance with the companies' and industry standards. Directors will be needed to help establish the objectives and schedules of existing products and to oversee and guide product management teams in their work. As companies expand their product lines, they will also need product management directors to make sure the products are managed effectively and efficiently.
